Arcadia Rehab + Arcadia Home Care: How Our Services Work Together

By Rohit Tamhane, Founder · Updated July 2026 · 7 min read

Arcadia Rehab and Arcadia Home Care are sister services designed to work together. Arcadia Rehab focuses on what your parent can still do: building strength, improving balance, preventing falls, maintaining independence through exercise. Arcadia Home Care focuses on what your parent needs help with: bathing, dressing, meals, daily supervision.

Together, they provide a complete continuum of care that adapts as your parent's needs change.

How they work together in practice

Scenario 1: Early decline: preventing a crisis

Arcadia Rehab (RST)

RST visits 2-3x/week for balance training, strength exercises, and fall prevention. Cognitive exercises to maintain medication management and daily planning.

Arcadia Home Care (PSW)

Not yet needed. Rehabilitation is maintaining independence.

Outcome: Your parent stays independent longer, avoiding or delaying the need for daily support.

Scenario 2: After a fall or hospitalization

Arcadia Rehab (RST)

RST designs a recovery program: graduated strength building, balance retraining, confidence rebuilding. Aquatherapy may be included.

Arcadia Home Care (PSW)

PSW provides daily support during recovery: bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication supervision. Gradually steps back as independence returns.

Outcome: Faster recovery with both physical rehabilitation and daily living support working in parallel.

Scenario 3: Ongoing complex needs

Arcadia Rehab (RST)

RST continues exercise programs 1-2x/week to maintain what can be maintained. Adapts programs as abilities change.

Arcadia Home Care (PSW)

PSW provides regular daily living support: personal care, meal preparation, companionship, supervision.

Outcome: Quality of life is maximized. Your parent stays as strong as possible while receiving the daily help they need.

One family, one team

Because Arcadia Rehab and Arcadia Home Care are connected services, there's no gap when your parent's needs change. If your parent starts with rehabilitation and later needs daily support, or starts with home care and wants to add exercise, the transition is seamless. One family, one team, coordinated care.
